The staging area will be the east end of the Food Lion parking lot on West Mills Street (Hwy108) in Columbus. Traffic congestion is anticipated to increase rapidly as marching units and individual marchers begin arriving at about 8 a.m.

To allow the parade to begin on time, it will be necessary to restrict motor vehicle traffic from entering West Mills Street from Tryon and I-26 beginning at 9:45 a.m. This restriction will remain in place until noon when the Veterans Day morning activities will be completed.

During this period, east bound through traffic into Columbus will be rerouted to bypass thetown using Hwy 74. Westbound traffic approaching Columbus from the east will be rerouted around the town also on Hwy 74.

All parade spectators arriving in motor vehicles are thus encouraged to park in town prior to 9:45 a.m. as no vehicular traffic will be allowed into the town after that time.
