Daniel Jervey Shehan of Mill Spring, N.C. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11 at the Hospice House in Rutherford County.
Daniel worked in the textile industry for around 50 years. He was an avid farmer and loved hunting.
Daniel was the son of the late William and Nettie Shehan. He was the husband of the late Ruby Camp Shehan. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Wane Shehan and Donald Shehan, as well as a sister, Grace Abrams.
He is survived by his sons, David (Ann) Shehan of Columbus and Mark of Mill Spring; three grandsons: John Shehan, Marcus Briscoe and Justin Pierce; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Shehan of Mill Spring and Cindy Sheehan of Green Creek; and caregivers Vicky Brewington and Janet Black.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. at Green River Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Curtis officiating.
