Ronald Allen Harvey, 68, passed away August 9, 2014 at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville. He was the son of the late Ralph Thomas and Juanita Zachary Harvey and the husband of Reda Carrol Ward Harvey.
He was in the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart and Silver Star. He was an Air Pollution Control Technician with the EPA and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Christopher Reeves (Deidrah) of Felton, PA; a daughter, Laurie Meskunas of Elkton, MD; three brothers, MIchael, Brian and Bill Harvey all
of Rochester, NY; two sisters, Karen Fulp of Hanover, Pa, Janet Wilkie of Havre de Grace, MD; and three grandchildren, Walter Reeves, Kayla Reeves and Ashley Blankenship.
The family will receive friends 3:00-7:00pm Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the home, 625 Houston Road, Columbus, N.C. Services will be held 2:00pm Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Foothills Family Church, 201 Freeman Hill Road, Tryon, N.C. 28782.
