Foothills Humane Society (FHS) recently announced the winners of their May volunteers based on the most service hours incurred for the month. The top winner was Paula Mullenax. Mullenax, the Gold Level winner, assists with dog walking, animal transport and the “On The Road” program where adoptable animals are taken to pet stores in search of forever homes. Addittionally, Mullenax is a foster parent, taking animals temporarily in her home. Vard Henry is the Silver Level winner. She helps with cruelty investigations, Pet of the Week program and numerous other animal support roles. Henry also sits on the FHS Board of Directors. Bradley Kay is the Bronze Level winner. She is a dedicated dog walker and socializes with cats regularly. She spent last summer as an intern and continues to enjoy volunteering. FHS has many volunteer opportunities.
