The District One School Board of Trustees recognized four schools at the May Board meeting for outstanding achievement in the area of school public relations.
The National School Public Relations Associations’s Publications and Electronic Media Awards recognize outstanding education publications and marketing/ informational materials (print and electronic), video/ TV/ radio programs, social media and websites. Entries are judged on content clarity, appropriateness and freshness, graphic design, usability, functionality and overall depth of information.
Winning websites communicate school events and keep the community informed using best practices for school public relations. Mrs. Cathy McMillan, Public Information Officer for District One Schools, recognized the following schools and the school contact responsible for maintaining the content of the website:
Campobello-Gramling School: Andrew McMillan, Jennifer Still
Chapman High School: Sundra LeCroy Smith
Inman Intermediate School: Tammy Starnes
New Prospect Elementary School: Gayle Elrod
