Entrepreneur Chris C. Cochran, owner of the Goode Monument Company in Rutherfordton, N.C. donated his time and the etched lettering on the monument that reads “Here Rest The Flags That Served Our Country.”
He and his wife are Polk County residents – born and raised.  You will always find Chris smiling, even while he delivered and placed the monument at the “Flag Retirement Garden” at the House of Flags with his crane.
