Ericka Lauren Berg, daughter of Ralph and Libby Berg of Sunny View, graduated from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky on Sunday, May 4, 2014.
A 2010 graduate of Polk County High School, Ericka Berg graduated summa cum laude and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology.
Berg also received the Hilda Welch Wood Achievement Award, granted to one female student at the top of the graduating class who has shown both academic excellence and who has contributed to the life and work of Berea College.
While at Berea, Berg was involved in many clubs and extracurricular activities while working as both a Biology Laboratory Teaching Assistant and as a German Teaching Assistant.
Berg is the granddaughter of Glenda and Donald Jackson of Sunny View.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Glenda and Donald Jackson; Emily, Joe, Autumn and Bryson Owen; Wanda and Brian Peters; Libby, Ralph, Sara, Jessica and Kristyn Berg; Jennifer Stroud and Joshua Burgess.
