Tryon Estates Retirement Life Community held a dedication for the expansion of their Memorial Garden on May 13.
The residents attended a ceremony in the garden and the dedication prayer was given by Rev. Tim Willis, Chaplain at Tryon Estates. The ribbon cutting was done by Rev. Ralph Kuether, former Chaplain at Tryon Estates and a member of the planning committee for the expansion.
Executive Director Dee James commended all who helped make this project possible. N.C. Representative Chris Whitmire joined in the late afternoon reception.  His help was essential in planning for the expansion.  The expansion was the result of years of planning by the Tryon Estates Resident’s Association and those tasked with coordinating the project. Representative Whitmire also discussed the new N.C. income tax law and its impact on continuing care retirement community residents.
