In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, with Judge Thomas M. Brittain presiding, 126 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Jade Desiree Capps was convicted of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Capps was sentenced to 20 days in jail with 20 days credit.
Jerri Brandi Gilbert was convicted of unsafe movement. Gilbert was fined $50 and court costs.
Coy Christopher Jackson was convicted of driving while license revoked. Jackson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
Steve Allen Keaton was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone.
Keaton was fined $95 and court costs.
Manoj Periathambi was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Periathambi was fined $100 and court costs.
Stephen G. Pettyjohn was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Pettyjohn was sentenced to two years supervised probation, 20 days in jail, a $200 fine and court costs.
Diandra Janel Watts was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Watts was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
