Polk County High School Humane Society raised $200 to cure Kutcher the dog, the second heartworm positive dog that the high school club has cured. In a surprise donation, from the club and also Mrs. Jacque Brown Williams, an additional $200 was awarded to cure another sick dog named Popeye.
A total of $400 was raised during the “Kutcher’s Cure” fundraiser in the month of March. Students purchased green clovers to be posted on “the clover wall”. Over 400 students contributed to the cause. An animal loving school, the Polk County Humane Society Club is the official sponsor for heartworm positive dogs at the Foothills Shelter. Way to go, PCHS Humane society.
