Kersey Mitchell Green, 87, of Landrum passed away June 1, 2014.  He was the son of the late Lee J. and Lela D. Pittman Green and husband of the late Mary Alice Owen Green.
He was a  business owner and a member of Bible Baptist Church.
He is survived  by three sons, Mitch (Gingi) and Travis (Jennifer) Green and Jimmy Washburn; a daughter Faye Bishop (Danny).  He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two sisters , Geneva and Ethel Waddell.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Joe Ann Green Chapman and Vicky Dealmeida; three brothers and one sister.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Petty Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Turner.  Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
