PCHS Golf teams present Tryon Country Club with plaque

At a recent Tryon Country Club Board of Directors meeting, the Polk County High Schools’ Golf Teams presented the club with a plaque for the Outstanding Service Award in recognition and thanks for the club’s 65 years of support of Tryon High School and Polk County High School golf programs and students.
Tryon Country Club recognizes the talent of the high school students participating in the program and will continue to support the teams.
Through the years, many of the team members have gone on to become members of the club and enjoy playing on the challenging course designed by Donald Ross.
This award comes at a time when TCC is preparing for its Centennial Celebration in 2016.  The ongoing improvements to the course and clubhouse generated by the 2016 Fund provide our community with one of the best 9 hole golf courses in the Carolinas.
If you would like more information about the Tryon Country Club, please call Gerald, the PGA club professional at 828-859-9561.
