LHS Cheerleaders to host Cheer Camp, August 7-9

On August 7-9, the 2014-2015 Landrum High School (LHS) Competition Cheerleading Team will be hosting Cardinal Cheer Camp for children between the ages of 3 and 12. Camp will be held at the LHS axillary gym from 6-8 p.m. on August 7 and 8 and from 9:00 a.m.-noon on August 9. On August 9, the campers will perform at 11 a.m. in the LHS main gym. Family members are encouraged to attend this performance.
The Camp offers six hours of positive and energetic instruction led by the LHS Competition Cheerleading Team. Campers will also receive snacks, an LHS Cardinal Cheer Camp T-shirt, access to the Cardinal Store – stocked with great LHS spirit merchandise, daily appearances from “The Cardinal”, opportunities to win a Landrum High School Spirit Stick, a Cardinal Cheer Camp certificate, free admission to the LHS vs. Travelers Rest home football game on August 29 and a halftime performance at the LHS vs. Travelers Rest home football game.
The LHS Cheerleading Team is also looking for sponsorships from businesses within the community. The team practices numerous hours to be able to compete at the Regional and State level, and the cost to attend these competitions can become quite expensive. The camp hopes to host more than 60 participants during the three-day event, and every participant will receive an LHS Cardinal Cheer Camp t-shirt, displaying sponsors, which will be worn at their performance at halftime during the first game of the regular football season. The cost of sponsorship is tax deductible, and this is a great opportunity for local businesses to reach customers and support the 2014-2015 LHS Cardinals Competition Cheer Team.
