St. Luke’s Hospital volunteers honored for hours of service

Did you know that volunteers in the Gift Shop manage the daily operations of the shop including all merchandise sales and keeping the shelves stocked and tidy. Through the St. Luke’s Hospital Gift Shop and Thrift Shop sales, as well as individual gifts, the Auxiliary has donated more than $2.2 million to St. Luke’s Hospital for equipment purchases and upgrades.
St. Luke’s Hospital recently honored volunteers with a luncheon. Honoring St. Luke’s Hospital volunteers is a way of saying ‘Thank you!’ to the selfless men, women, and young people who embody the American spirit of caring for one another.
Honored for 1500 Hours of Service was Liz Beam and for 2250 Hours of Service was Marcie Mack.
Those honored for 2500 Hours of Service were Peg Benson, Mary Martlock, Mary Ann Plumley and Gen Waddell.
A sincere appreciation is extended to all volunteers who share their time and talents so willingly on behalf of St. Luke’s Hospital.

Did you know that many St. Luke’s Hospital departments rely on volunteer help? Volunteers at the reception desk in our Radiology Department enjoy a fast-paced day of greeting patients. Volunteers also help out in the Pharmacy and with tasks such as filing in the Business Office, Medical Records and the Foundation.
There are also WINGS volunteers who deliver the mail within the hospital.  On the “WINGS” of these special volunteers, all Interdepartmental mail is delivered daily.  The daily couriers deliver lab results and mail to local physician offices.
St. Luke’s Hospital Volunteers who share their time and talents to make a difference in our community were recently honored with a luncheon.
Honored for 5750 Hours of Service was Gayle Cook, for 6000 Hours of Service, John Hicks and for 6250 Hours of Service, Jean Shumway.
Bob Holycross was honored for his 7750 Hours of Service and Virginia Clark was honored for her 9250 Hours of Service.
A sincere appreciation is extended to all volunteers who share their time and talents so willingly on behalf of St. Luke’s Hospital.
