Tryon3-SummerTracks

The fifteenth season of Tryon’s most popular summer event – Summer Tracks – kicks off June 6.
This well-loved event welcomes more than 2,000 people to Tryon’s Rogers Park throughout the summer. Summer Tracks hosts six concerts representing a great mix of musical styles. Each concert draws audiences from all over Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.
Here are this season’s diverse group of performers:
June 6: Phil & Gaye Johnson (Folk-Traditional) open for Tellico (Bluegrass, Traditional)
June 20: Russ Wilson Swing Orchestra (15 Piece Big Band!)
July 11: Torch Singer, A Tribute to Linda Ronstadt – Featuring Peggy Ratusz, Paula Hanke, Amy LaDeroute with 4-piece band.
July 25: Sol Driven Train (World Beat-Southern-Funk-Rock. The evening opens with their children’s show)
Aug 8: Gigi Dover & The Big Love (Soulful Americana)
Aug 22: Bob Sinclair Duo opens for The Lazy Birds (Americana, Swing.)
As with all Summer Tracks concerts, the show is free, though a voluntary donation at the gate is encouraged. Audience donations along with the generous sponsorships of local businesses and individuals make these shows possible. JR’s wood-fired pizzas, water and soft drinks will be for sale. To become a sponsor, contact Peter Eisenbrown at 828-290-4316 or email him at petereisenbrown@me.com.
