Members of the Columbus Lions Club prepared and served a luncheon for visually impaired persons able to attend (many had appointments with the medical profession.)
Director Matt Putnam brought his Eighth grade band and led them in several selections to entertain the Lions and their guests. Members of the band were seated among Lions and VIPs for maximum interaction during lunch.
Club President Fran Goodwin invited District Governors present and future, and they all attended: DG Will Hicks, who finished out his visit by helping in the kitchen; DG-elect David Titus and wife Lori drove over from Shelby; and future DG Debbie Hicks accompanied her husband. Zone 9 Chairman Leon Pryor also accepted his invitation. Only 16 VIPs and their caregivers attended, but all seemed to enjoy it. Seconds were encouraged, so there were almost no leftovers.
