Sproule-Hudgins Wedding May 16

Kristin Grace Hudgins of Columbia, S.C. and Robert Henry Alexander Sproule of Belfast, Northern Ireland, were married lakeside on May 16 at Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure, N.C. The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s stepfather, Langdon D. Long. A reception followed at Rumbling Bald resort.
The bride is the daughter of Eric and Sherry Hudgins of Cedar Mountain, N.C. and Langdon and Jessie Long of Columbia S.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Andrew Hudgins of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Margaret F. Mize and the late Dr. John Thomas Mize of Tryon, and Mrs. Adeline V. Long and the late Jack Herbert Long of Laurens, S.C.
Kristin Hudgins is a graduate of Dreher High School, received a BS in marketing from Appalachian State University and an MC in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Carolina University. She is employed as a speech language pathologist at Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center.
The groom is the son of Bill and Toni Sproule of Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is the grandson of the late Drs. Alexander Sproule of Belfast, Northern Ireland and the late Mr. and Mrs. Colin Baker of Croydon, England. The groom received a BS in Environmental Science and an MBA from Ulster University. He is employed as a Strategic Account Manager at The Stiritech Group, Inc.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Elizabeth Barmore Cannon, Mrs. Caroline Dieter Bush and Mrs. Jessie Starman Voci, friends of the bride.
Best man was Dr. John Sproule, brother of the groom. Usher were Mr. Adam Andrew Hudgins, brother of the bride, and Mr. George Crawford, brother-in-law of the groom. Guests were greeted by Tim Chamberlain and Bruce Lawrence, friends of the couple and family. An original reading was performed during the ceremony by Ms. Francis Hungerford Kalina, friend of the bride.
Ceremony music was provided by Phil and Gaye Johnson of Green Creek. A rehearsal dinner was hosted at the resort the night before the ceremony by the groom’s parents.
The coulple will enjoy a honeymoon in Siesta Key, Fla. Before residing in Charlotte, N.C.
