Gregory McPherson), Adjunct Professor of Art at Western Carolina University recently judged artwork submitted by area high school students to Tryon Fine Arts Center’s first juried show. First, second and third places were chosen for six categories:  drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, print-making and sculpture. Winners will be announced at a reception at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6. The juried exhibit runs through May 17 when several of the winning pieces will be auctioned to raise funds for Tryon Fine Arts Center’s Arts in Education programming.  For information, please call 828-859-8322.
