House of Flags seeks volunteers

Interested in U.S. history? Interested in guiding visitors down paths of our nation’s history as told by flags? If you are, the House of Flags Museum in Columbus is seeking volunteers to serve as docents for three hours per month.
Operating hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. A training course for docents is planned for mid-May.
A complete flag collection guide book and interpretive instructions will be provided. Every flag has a story to tell. Interested volunteers are urged to call volunteer coordinators at 828- 894-2514 or 828-894-2309, or email flagmuseum@gmail.com.
The House of Flags Museum, located at 33 Gibson Street in Columbus is a non-profit educational organization staffed entirely by volunteers and supported entirely by grants and donations.
