Polk County District Court results for April 23

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, April 23, 2014, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 151 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
James John Atwell was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Atwell was fined $100 and court costs.
John Michael Belue was convicted of drive after consuming under age 21. Belue was sentenced to 24 months unsupervised probation, a $25 fine and court costs.
Harley Ryan Boone was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Boone was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
Jonathan Daniel Delby was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Delby was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, seven days in jail, a $200 fine and court costs.
Laura M. Hamlin was convicted of failure to comply with monies and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Hamlin was sentenced to 45 days in jail for failure to comply with monies and 10 days in jail for failure to appear on misdemeanor.
Burgess Charles Jones was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor larceny. Jones was sentenced to 25 days in jail with credit for time served.
Rhonda Glover Jones was convicted of misdemeanor possession of stolen goods. Jones was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for time served and court costs.
Jason Lloyd Kerley was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Kerley was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, seven days in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
William Joey Owensby was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Owensby was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
Kelly Hearn Trakas was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Trakas was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Kindra Lei Whitesides was convicted of felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Whitesides was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Joshua Aaron Williams was convicted of two counts of probation violation, possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon and defrauding drug/alcohol screen. Williams was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
