Polk arrests two for manufacturing marijuana

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people this week for manufacturing marijuana after discovering an indoor grow operation.
Dana Mosseler, of 923 Green Creek Drive Columbus, was arrested and charged with felony manufacture marijuana, felony maintain dwelling/place for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to sheriff reports.
Kent Morgan Shehan, of 923 Green Creek Drive Columbus was arrested and charged with felony manufacture marijuana, felony maintain dwelling/place for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to sheriff reports.
Sheriff deputies received a call about stolen property located at 923 Green Creek Drive Columbus and once arriving investigators began speaking with the occupants and advising them that the sheriff’s office had received reports of possible drug activities taken place at the residence.
An occupant of the resident gave investigators consent to conduct a search of the premises with officers discovering an indoor marijuana grow operation, according sheriff reports.
The operation consisted of marijuana plants, grow lights, fans and an enclosed indoor greenhouse.
In addition, detectives found smoking pipes, marijuana seeds and books regarding how to grow marijuana, according to sheriff reports.
Both Mosseller and Shehan were transported to the Polk County Jail and both released on bond.
