Grants for student pilots

Western North Carolina Pilots Association Educational Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides grants for aviation students who have already started their aviation studies.
The Educational Foundation is in its fourth year providing financial aid to those who are serious in furthering their goals in the field of aviation, and can show a financial need. Last year in 2013 four grants were awarded to recipients.
To apply for a grant the applicant must:
1. Live in and plan their aviation studies in Western North Carolina
2. Actively be working toward an FAA certificate or rating
3. Be at least 17 years of age
4. Have soloed
When applying for a grant, the letter of application should include:
1. Name, Address and Phone Number (email address if possible)
2. Two letters of reference (not from family)
3. Plans for completing rating(s)
4. Community involvement and/ or any other information that might be of
5. Interest to the committee
All applications must be sent and received on or before April 15, 2014.
