Language arts students complete WWII projects

Students in Sherrie Smith’s English Language Arts class at Polk County Middle School (PCMS) recently completed projects on World War II.
Students were given a rubric for the unit and worked for three weeks to complete steps on how to research, how to create a Google doc, how to give an oral presentation and how to complete a physical project.
Students could choose between a power point, outfit, prop or model for their physical project. Smith gave a model lesson and dressed up as Rosie the Riveter to show students how to present their projects.
Smith said, “students overall did a great job and enjoyed this unit!”
