Sherman Everett Phillips, 92 died March 12.

A native of Polk County, NC, he is survived by his wife, Catherine Phillips of Lyman, S.C.; daughters Peggy (Laddie) Harrison of Lyman, S.C. and Robin (Ron) Fields of Spartanburg, S.C.; brothers, Lewis Phillips of Mill Spring, NC and Glenn Phillips of Forest City, NC; sisters, Kathleen Tucker of Mill Spring, NC, Ethel Trotter of Dallas, NC, and Myrtle Smith of Greenville, S.C.; and four grandchildren.

Services were March 14 at The Wood Mortuary.
