Yellen to defend national titles in clogging, formal wear

Madison Alana Renee Yellen is the daughter of Wendy Yellen and the granddaughter of Rickie and Renee McFalls.
Madison is a competition clogger from Dance Dynamics in Tryon.
Madison is 12 years old and has been dancing for 10 years with Dance Dynamics and competition clogging for 7 years. Madison is known at the dance studio for her fast feet and is nicknamed “Clogging Cutie.”
She attended the Star Power Talent Power Pak program and competed in the Nationals Competition defending her first place title in both clogging and formal wear modeling last summer in Orlando, Fla.
Madison took master classes from some of the best dance instructors around the United States with the Power Pak program furthering her diversity in her dance career. She also danced at Disney World and opened for the Battle of the Stars with her Power Pak group. The Power Pak Program that Madison participated in had an elite group of children from all over the United States as well as international students.
Madison successfully defended her Nationals first place titles. She won first place in the power division in clogging with her Shake Senora solo, choreographed and taught by Lindy Wicklund. She won with a 4 and a quarter stars medal and a first place trophy. Madison also won first place overall in formal wear modeling power division, which was choreographed by Missy and Alyssa Fincher. She won with 4 and a quarter stars medal and a 5-foot tall first-place trophy.
Madison also won the judges high honor award for most beauty and grace and the teacher award for the most outgoing and outspoken. She has been working on her new solo since June 2013.
Wicklund is her choreographer and they are getting ready for the new competition and performance season. Madison will be defending her title at nationals in Orlando, Fla. June 1-6, 2014.
