Humane society announces winter volunteer winners

Foothills Humane Society (FHS) has a monthly volunteer recognition program based on service hours worked.

For November, the three winners were:

Bronze: Lone Krarup

Silver: Emily Clark

Gold: Kathy Toomey

In December the recognition was given to four volunteers with a tie for the first place Gold winner:

Bronze: Kelly Noegal

Silver: Rick Farlow

Gold: Shirley Johnson and Steve King

Also recognized were 2013 year-end volunteers who logged more than 200-plus hours of volunteer work.

1. Steve King – 507.5 hours

2. Shirley Johnson – 486.25 hours

3. Sally Orrill – 293 hours

4. Lynn Henderson – 261.5 hours

5. Joe Eskridge – 218.0 hours

6. Linda Williams  – 204.75 hours

There is a wide array of volunteer activities at FHS. Most of the work is with the shelter animals. However there are also opportunities outside of the shelter for operational support, picking up donations, transport and much more.
