Western Carolina Classic Radio Club features “Dead Ernest”

The Western Carolina Classic Radio Club will meet Monday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. in Studio 118 on the Polk ICC campus.
An old time radio show will be aired, featuring a suspense play, “Dead Ernest,” and the plot lives up to the program’s name – Suspense.
The Suspense radio show aired June 1942, to September, 1962 on various networks with many sponsors.
The radio/ TV program will feature a club comedy special.
Professor Hoyt will keep listeners guessing with his excellent trivia.
The Winter Jazz Series concludes, featuring the founder of bebop and arguably the greatest saxophonist of all time: Charlie Parker. His music remains an inspiration and resource for musicians and other genres.
Everyone is welcome to come and hear, and it is free.
