The Carolina Classic Radio Club will meet Monday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. in Studio 118 on the Polk ICC campus. The old time radio show will feature a Suspense play, “Dead Ernest,” and the plot truly lives up to the program’s name: Suspense.
The Suspense radio show aired June 1942 to September 1962 on various networks.
The radio/television program will feature a club comedy special. Professor Hoyt will keep all guessing with his excellent trivia quiz.
The Winter Jazz Series concludes with Charlie Parker, the founder of bebop and possibly the greatest saxophonist of all time. His music remains an inspiration and resource for musicians and others. Everyone is welcome and it is free.
