Carr receives additional charge, $90,000 bond

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office charged Billy Lawrence Carr, 38, of Green Creek with an additional felony possession of methamphetamine, which increased his bond to $90,000.
Carr and Harold Dean Bailey, 50, were charged on Thursday, Jan. 9 when officers discovered the two cooking meth at 315 Scoggins Road, Green Creek.
The lab was live and officers also discovered approximately 15 old meth labs inside and outside the home, according to sheriff reports.
Officers said the operation was the largest meth lab discovered in the county in recent years. The N.C. State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is still testing the materials discovered.
Carr was originally charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession/distribute meth precursor, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to sheriff reports.
Carr was originally given a $30,000 bond. He is still being held at the Polk County Jail.
Bailey was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession/distribute meth precursor and fictitious information to officer, according to sheriff reports. No other charges have been given to Bailey.
He was given a $25,000 bond and is still being held at the Polk County Jail.
