After some Mill Spring residents along Silver Creek Road reported smelling a gas odor on Wednesday, Jan. 8, it was discovered that an odor pipe is broken in the area and that no gas is leaking.
PSNC advised Polk County that Williams Pipeline has a broken odor pipe that puts the smell in the gas line, according to Polk County Emergency Management Director Bobby Arledge. The smell is no danger to the public and PSNC is scheduled to be out to fix the line on Thursday, Jan. 9.
Residents are urged not to call 911 unless a gas smell is present inside their residence.
