The 2014 Tryon Daily Bulletin photo calendars have arrived.  The pictorial calendars were a gift to our readers and the response has been overwhelming.
Produced by the staff of the Tryon Daily Bulletin and sponsored by area businesses, the calendars showcase local photographers who participated in our photo contest.
This year’s winner of our annual photo calendar contest, and the front cover of the calendar, is Rob McComas, for his picture Night at Odel Farms in Sunny View.  Congratulations Rob!
Each month has something special to offer and we hope you enjoy all of them. Photos for the inside pages were chosen to fit with the month they were paired up with.
This year’s July winner was taken by Renae Waldman and depicts attendees of the Fourth of July Patriots Parade.  Dressed for the occasion are Ella Waldman (soloist), Hayden Blackwell as Betsy Ross, Sydney Waldman as George Washington and Rollins Carter as Thomas Jefferson.
The October winner is Jonathan Vanderford. His photo of adorable twins Sadie and Mack Vanderford, dressed in cow outfits while playing in the fall leaves, is about as cute as it gets. Congratulations to all of our winners!
If you would like to enter the contest next year and see your photo featured on the annual calendar you might want to start planning now.  We try and match up the holiday or season with the photo for that month so we recommend sending in pictures that represent each month (multiple entries are welcome).
Also, horizontal photos work better than vertical.  Specific details and rules for next year’s contest will be published in November.
