Sallie Martin Cogdell, 85, of 315 N. Howard Ave. Landrum, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 30, 2013.
She was the daughter of the late Tallie and Bessie Redmon Martin and wife of the late Robert “Bob” Cogdell.  She was a member of Landrum First Baptist Church  and was a homemaker.
She is survived by four sons, Gene Cogdell of Inman, S.C., Phillip Cogdell of Sachse, Texas, Bruce Cogdell of Landrum and Tim Cogdell of Newberry, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Landrum First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will follow at the church at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Jimmy Camp.  Burial will be in Gowensville First Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of Grant and Cassie Jo Cogdell, 494 S. Randolph Ave., Landrum.
