Carolina Keglers welcomes bowlers at all levels

The Carolina Keglers is a very low-key fun league for women and men over 50 who want a little recreation and a little exercise.
New bowlers are welcome at any time during the season, no experience needed. Two new bowlers have joined this month. The emphasis is on fun, not competition. Bowlers are placed on a new team each week. Stats are kept for individuals, not for teams. This format is quite different from traditional bowling leagues, but the Keglers seem to really enjoy it.
They bowl on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. at Autumn Lanes in Forest City.
Here are the highlights of the bowling on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
High games over average:
Walt Flaschar +60 = 200
Paul Ritoch + 23 = 151
Chuck Ott +20 = 165
Tom Ruegg +20 = 137
High series over average:
Walt Flaschar +65 = 488
The Keglers will not be bowling on New Year’s Day. Regular bowling resumes Jan. 8. Anyone wishing to join the Carolina Keglers should contact Mike Davidson at 828-894-5823 or email Members are asked to please call Davidson when they cannot bowl.
