Community rings out in chorus

With Lesley Bush as director and Pam McNeil as the talented accompanist, The Community Chorus presented “Christmas at the Movies, A Hollywood Holiday!” Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Polk County High School Auditorium.

All funds from ticket sales are dedicated to scholarship support.

Assisting director Bush as section leaders of the Community Chorus were Muriel Lunsford, soprano; Ellen Harvey-Zipf, alto; Richard Kennedy, tenor; and Ken Raymond, bass.

The famed Rotary Ringers consisting of Frank Ortiz, Bill and Carolyn Jones, Ben Woodward, Edith Bond, Andy Morris, Wallace Dupre, Jay Geddings, Petra Harrelson, Charles McKeller, Ray Sparks, Carl Schumacher and Ron and Sherrill Wingo rang with gusto during the audience carol sing-a-long.

The chorus’ presentations ranged from Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” to the awe-inspiring finale of Randol Alan Bass’ “Gloria”.
