Children’s workshop still on

The Saluda Christmas parade scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. has been cancelled.

Organizers made the decision on Friday because of a 90 percent chance of rain all day Saturday.

The dog show has also been cancelled but the Saluda Children’s Christmas workshop will still be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. upstairs from Thompson’s Store. The workshop is for children ages five and up.

The dog show will be rescheduled at the grand opening of the Saluda Dog Park New Agility Course scheduled for the spring.

The parade is not being rescheduled. This would have been Saluda’s third annual Christmas parade. Organizers said they appreciate all the float entries and the support from the East Henderson High School marching band and hope to organize the parade again in 2014.
