On Saturday, Dec. 7 at approximately 5:30 a.m. the Tryon Police Department, Tryon Fire Departments and EMS, with assistance from the Columbus Police Department, were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the 600 block of Carolina Dr.

Upon arrival officers observed a male victim laying in the road. The victim was taken to Spartanburg Regional for his injuries.

William Bradley Hannigan, 23, of Tryon was arrested for driving while impaired and wreckless driving to endanger.

The accident is still under investigation by the Tryon Police Department.
