The Polk County Board of Commissioners approved its new meeting schedule from January through June 2014 and included a budget workshop for Tuesday, Jan. 21 to discuss the upcoming 2014-2015 fiscal year budget.

The budget workshop will be held at the Womack building in Columbus in replace of the commissioners’ second monthly meeting. The workshop will begin at 6 p.m.

Following is the approved meeting schedule until the new budget year, which begins July 1, 2014.

Commissioners later in the year will schedule additional budget workshops prior to the approval of a new budget.

All meetings, unless otherwise specified, are held on Mondays and begin at 7 p.m. in the commissioners’ meeting room, located on the second floor of the Womack building in Columbus.
