I would like to thank Patty Aldred and Chris Zellner for their many years of steadfast dedication to the many families of Polk County.

It is my hope that their legacy of leadership will continue with the solid support of the Polk County Board of Commissioners.

Through the adoption of a sound plan, the hiring of well qualified individuals and an fair and equitable study of the department’s budget the recreation department will prosper and grow for individuals and families of Polk County.

On behalf of my grandson Leif, “thank you for teaching me to dribble a ball, how to overcome my shyness enough to join in games with strangers that became my friends, how to shake a leg and show my grandma a dance step or two, and finally thank you for teaching me to be brave, brave enough to hold my breath and take the plunge.”
