A reception for “Eastern Italy to Western North Carolina, Paintings by Jim Carson” will be held at the Saluda Center on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 5-7 p.m.

Carson was privileged to be a part of an international painting group in Peschici, Italy, in September, with such highly regarded international landscape painters as; Lori Putnam, Ray Roberts, Peggy Kroll Roberts, James Richards, Al Tofanelli and Carol Gray-Weihman. The complete story of this painting adventure is featured in the November issue of Plein Air Magazine, in a story titled “Chasing the Light Across Countries.” Peschici is located on the Aegean Sea in the province of Foggia, in the beautiful Apulia region of southeast Italy.

Richland Fine Art Gallery in Nashville, Tenn. is planning to exhibit paintings created by these artists in a show there next year.
