Tryon police arrest two people on prescription fraud

The Tryon Police Department arrested two people recently for prescription fraud after a local pharmacy reported fraudulent activity.
Sherry Logan, 40, and Nicholas Logan, 20, both of Mill Spring, were arrested following an investigation.
Sherry Logan was charged with 21 counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and 10 counts of trafficking opiates, according to police reports.
Nicholas Logan was charged with four counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and two counts of trafficking opiates, according to police reports.
Sherry Logan received a $500,000 secured bond and Nicholas Logan received a $100,000 secured bond.
U-Save It Pharmacy, located on the South Trade Street, Tryon, contacted the Tryon Police Department on Oct. 30 to report a possible prescription fraud, according to police reports. The investigation revealed that the Logans had obtained prescriptions through fraudulent means, states the report.
