The Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce Business Expo has announced that because of  overwhelming interest they have extended the ‘early bird’ discount for application to Nov. 22.
The expo will take place on Jan. 18, at the Polk County High School Gymnasium, from noon-5 p.m. The expo is not a fundraiser, but a marketing event for local businesses, provided by the Chamber as a service to the community.
The expo will support the goal of building a stronger economy for our community, helping to create and support local jobs and services.
“We hope to draw service businesses to exhibit at this event, including painters, contractors of all kinds, builders, retail, health and wellness, information agencies, professionals and other appropriate businesses.
Patrons can bring the whole family and find what they need right here at home in a fun and exciting environment,” said Kim Karaman, chairman of the event and chamber board member.
There will be lots of gifts given away, and door prizes provided by all the vendors.  Also, the chamber will be giving away a Kindle Fire HDX  7” 32 GB Tablet to one lucky person.
Admission will be free to attendees, and the first 500 to attend will receive a reusable tote bag and other giveaways.
The expo will be held at the Polk County High School gymnasium, and will be set up in a professional trade show atmosphere, with draped partitions, skirted tables and 64 vendor spaces available. All chamber members will receive a discounted entry fee, and the prices go up after Nov. 22.
As the Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce serves Polk County and Landrum, only non-member businesses located within this specific area can participate.
Exhibitors will have an opportunity to increase their visibility in the community and connect with potential new clients. Face-to-face contact is a great way to start a dialog for new business, helps to differentiate from competitors and enhance your company image.
The chamber of commerce is excited to bring together our local businesses with our community through this venue.
