Marion Hines Ritchey

Marion Louise Hines Ritchey, 93, of Columbus, passed away, Sunday evening, Nov. 3, 2013 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Columbus.
Born in Spartanburg County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Walter DeWitt Hines and Bessie Barnett Hines and widow of Joseph Buren Ritchey who died in 1982.
Mrs. Ritchey worked many years at Hatch Mill, Columbus.
She and her husband enjoyed fishing and traveling for many years.
She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, loved Duke and Carolina Tar Heels Basketball and enjoyed crafts and sewing.  Mrs. Ritchey was a member of Columbus Baptist Church.
Surviving is one son, Paul Ritchey of Columbus; two daughters, Becky L. Rome of Columbus and Marion R. Lockhart (Del) of Spartanburg, S.C.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Bruce Lockhart (Jan), Donna Lazar (Jeff) and Christopher J. Rome; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Lazar, Megan Lazar and Lauren Lockhart; two brothers, Hugh Hines (Sylvia) of Montgomery, Ala. and Bill Hines (Buddie) of Mint Hill, N.C.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov.  6, 2013 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, with Mr. Steve Hardin officiating.
