On Oct. 13, the audience which afilled the house at the Tryon Fine Arts Center was treated to a two-hour concert of music from composers Johann Sebastian Bach to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Frédéric Chopin to Camille Saint-Saëns to Scott Joplin and on up to George Gershwin, with many other composers intermingled.

Concert-goers enjoyed hearing performances by musicians on a variety of instruments including piano, bassoon, voice, guitar, flute and cello.

Of particular interest were the performances by Concert Pianist Elizabeth Child and the outstanding Scholarship Award Recipients pictured above.

All proceeds from the Gala Concert benefit the Foothills Music Club Young Musicians Scholarship Program.
