Celebrate the end of harvest season at Overmountain Vineyards on Saturday, Oct. 26, with an evening focused on local wine, local food and great music.

During the kickoff to Overmountain’s new Event Series, WNC’s favorite Gigi Dover & the Big Love will take over the winery’s majestic pergola playing their unique blend of gypsy, jazzy, funky, southern-soul and world music. As the sun sets, be ready to experience “Gypsy Soul meets Russian Carnival.”

To fill your bellies, local gourmet food truck, Dark Corner Diner will be on hand serving dishes such as lobster mac ‘n cheese with garlic gouda cornbread, roast beef or lemony marinated chickpea sandwiches, sweet potato and rosemary salad, plus desserts such as a lemon meringue pie.

Overmountain will pour four current release wines by the glass or bottle – King’s Mountain Rose, Revolutionary Red, Blackberry Wine and their Muscadine.

Overmountain Vineyards, located in the heart of our area’s growing viticultural path, is bringing visitors to the area to enjoy their diverse range of wines and the vineyard’s magnificent views. Proprietors Frank and Lita Lilly, locals to Polk County for more than two decades, opened Overmountain Vineyards in 2002 and their tasting room in 2010.

Expansion plans are underway to meet demand as the word spreads about the quality of wines that are available right here in Western North Carolina.

This is a rain or shine event. Tickets, available onsite, are free for children and for a small fee for adults. Food and wine are additional.
