Two-legged folks and their four-legged canines joined together on Oct. 13 at Harmon Field for an afternoon of fun and fellowship to benefit the Foothills Humane Society.

A professional white dove release by LJ Meyers’ Homeward Angels of Landrum and a “Blessing of the Animals” by Fr. Mickey Hugan’s of Holy Cross Episcopal Church started the afternoon with a memorable pause.

Announcer, Jim Bob Wilson of Camp Wayfarer, then rallied the troops and canines for the first class.

Ranging from the “Best Trick” to the “Dog Who Would Rather Be At Home” wagging tails reigned.

Ribbons were presented from first to sixth place in all classes with the show culminating in first place winners returning for the “Best In Show” class.

This year’s Best In Show was “Fancy” owned by Pat Figueroa of Landrum.
