Karen Dacey, director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Polk County and Landrum, pictured with Kiwanian Ernie Giannini, recently spoke to the Tryon Kiwanis Club about BBBS’ mentoring support system for youth.

Volunteers ages 18 and older are matched with children from single-parent families for activities two times a month. Matches spend time doing simple, fun activities.
