Sunday, Oct. 6 at Harmon field many people gathered to share the Lord’s Supper.
The gathering was to celebrate World Communion Sunday.

World Communion Sunday is a celebration observed by several Christian denominations, taking place on the first Sunday of every October, promoting Christian unity and ecumenical cooperation.

Members of the Thermal Belt Ministerial Association and the Foothills CROP Walk planning team planned the celebration of our unity through Christ offering this ecumenical service.

Eight Thermal Belt churches and seven area pastors were on hand to share in communion with Christians the world over. Elliot Hodges of Grace Foothills provided music with his guitar for the service.

Following the worship service the CROP Walk planning team was on hand to pass out materials for churches and organizations willing to help promote the CROP Walk, Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. at Harmon Field.

CROP Walk is an annual event to raise awareness and funds for hungry here in the Thermal Belt as well as the world.

Thermal Belt Ministerial Association is currently planning an ecumenical thanksgiving worship service for November.
