The Landrum Cardinals’ football team brings their game back home this Friday, Oct. 11 against a formidable opponent in the Chesnee Eagles.
The Eagles are 5-1 overall for the season and 3-0 in the region.
LHS head football coach Russell Mahaffey said Friday’s game presents the Cardinals a chance to pick up even further momentum.
“It’s a big game. We’re both undefeated in the region and this is another opportunity for us to take another positive step toward being successful in the region,” Mahaffey said.
Chesnee has put up a fierce offense with the team’s tightest win being 15 points over Woodruff with a score of 35-20. The Eagle’s single loss so far this season went to Chapman.
Mahaffey said he’s talked to his guys about bringing a smart game to the home field; a game similar to the team’s dramatic win over Powdersville last week on the road.
