Tryon Kiwanis Club members (front row, left to right) Ernie Giannini, Lennie Rizzo, Lynn Montgomery, Sharon Millard and (back row, left to right) Chuck Davis, Lee Cobourn, Bill Hague, Andy Millard, along with Bob Montgomery, picked up 10 bags of litter along Hwy. 108 on Sept. 14. As the first organization to register to clean up highways in North Carolina, Tryon Kiwanis is diligent about doing this job four times a year. Since it’s important to keep our community looking good, everyone should participate by picking up trash when you see it and not throwing it out in the first place.
