Sunday, Oct. 6 is World Communion Sunday.
World Communion Sunday is a celebration observed by several Christian denominations, taking place on the first Sunday of every October, promoting Christian unity and ecumenical cooperation.
Members of the Thermal Belt Ministerial Association and the Foothills CROP Walk planning team are celebrating our unity through Christ with an ecumenical service. Join the group Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. at Harmon Field for a community celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Following the short service, information about the 2013 CROP Walk Against Hunger, set for Nov. 3, will be available. The annual Foothills CROP Walk is an opportunity for people from all denominations to work toward a hunger free world.
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:20
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join the church on Sunday. Pastors who are available to serve are asked to contact Lance Smith at the Tryon Congregational Church 828-859-9414
